Our Mission

Our mission is to bring likeminded singles together for good conversations in a comfortable environment. Connections is dedicated to getting people away from bars, blind dates, online-dating and all other random ways and places people have been forced to meet.

The Management

Connections was formed by Ron Chambers in late 2003. After just one evening of speed dating in San Diego, CA, Ron decided to start his own speed dating company.

"It was as if my entire world changed. I was given the opportunity to have decent conversations with 10 different single women without having to yell over loud music or strategically bump into them at the bar. There is no better way than Speed Dating to meet confident, successful, attractive people."

The current owner is Becky Mitchell. Becky was introduced to Speed Dating in 2004 when she first tried Speed Dating. She enjoyed the night so much when Ron was looking for an Event Coordinator she applied for the position and was hired. Ron changed jobs and moved to New York in July of 2005. Becky wanted to stay involved in the business and when Ron offered to sell her the company she jumped on the opportunity.

"Speed Dating is such a great concept. I love that idea that in one night you can meet up to ten people within the same age range that are single and looking to meet other singles, without any stress or pressure. When you're at the table talking to the other person it's just fun conversation and getting to know each other. It could take you months to meet those same ten people one at a time".
